R-line style

A handsome addition to the family.

The Tiguan is available in two flavours of R-Line styling. Optional on Comfortline models, the R-Line Black Edition lives up to its name with striking 19-inch aluminum wheels and a variety of unique exterior accents – all in black, of course. The range-topping Highline R-Line features 20-inch aluminum wheels and a stunning illuminated front grille. No matter which you choose, you’ll make a statement with a sporty front bumper featuring large air intakes as well as body-colour lower panels and unique R-Line touches inside and out.

With standard 4MOTION® all-wheel drive, your family road trips just got a whole lot more interesting. Head out rain, snow or shine, and feel confident in all conditions.

Family life comes in all shapes and sizes, and Tiguan’s split folding second row seats are no exception. Fold the entire seat down for larger items, or pass long objects like hockey sticks or skis between two passengers.

Available third row

Expect the unexpected.

Sometimes plans change, and when they do, you’ll appreciate the available third row. It means more seating for up to 7 people, or a little extra space if something comes up.

Towing capacity

The versatile Tiguan can tow up to 680kg (1,500 lbs) of boats, bikes, trailers, jet skis, or whatever else your family is into.

Travel Assist

Your commute, simplified

Travel Assist^** is an advanced driver assistance system combining Lane Keeping Assist and Adaptive Cruise Control designed to help keep your vehicle positioned in its lane and at a constant distance from the vehicle ahead of you. It uses a pre-set following distance to automatically make adjustments based on the surrounding traffic, but you’ll need to keep your hands on the steering wheel for the feature to operate.

Side Assist

No more blind spots.

The Side Assist^** feature is designed to use LED lights on the side mirror housing to tell you if other vehicles are detected in your blind spot or approaching fast from behind.

Front Assist with Autonomous Emergency Braking and Pedestrian Detection

Stop it

If the vehicle senses an impending collision with another vehicle or pedestrian under certain conditions, available Front Assist^** is designed to warn you with an audible tone. It is designed to also apply the brakes under certain conditions.^***

Park distance control (front and rear)

Unparalleled parking

The Park Distance Control** (front and rear) sensors are designed to help you get into and out of tight spots with audible beeps if it detects there isn’t enough space. It can also brake automatically under certain conditions if it senses a potential collision.^***

Light Assist

Available Light Assist (Automatic high beam control)

Everyone forgets sometimes. Lucky for you, the Tiguan always remembers to turn the high beams on or off again when needed. So you never have to be that driver again.

Park Assist

It parks itself (almost)

Not only is Park Assist^** designed to tell you when you’re passing a large enough parking space, it can also steer your vehicle into it. Just operate the accelerator and brake, and Park Assist is designed to do the rest.
