10 Questions with Allan Dubien

Hello Northumberland!
The team here at Lauria Volkswagen strives to make sure that each and every customer receives great service with a smile when visiting our dealership.  There is nobody better at delivering service with a smile than the subject of this edition of "10 Questions".

Let's get to know Allan Dubien, our shop foreman, a little better! With a contagious positive attitude and incredible work ethic, Allan always brings his "A" game to work and with his extensive history with VW you know the work will be done right the first time, every time!

Q).    If you could live anywhere, where would it be?  Why?
A).    I think if I could live anywhere it would be tropical, by a beach with a palm tree every 2 feet because coconuts are life!  A beach in Hawaii!

Q).    What are your hobbies?
A).    A few of my hobbies are hanging with my family, paintball, and collecting vinyl.  There is just something special about a great vinyl!

Q).    If you could go back in time and change one thing what would it be?
A).    I would definitely go back and try to be more musically inclined.  Learn how to play the fiddle or challenge the six string.

Q).    What's your favourite holiday?  What do you like to do?
A).    My favourite Holiday is Easter.  New life and fresh beginnings, beautiful colours and the chance to be outside without a parks to keep warm.

Q).    What is your favourite band and favourite song?
A).    Well, he's not a band but he was in one, Phil Collins.  Top spot song has to be "You can't hurry love" from the album "Hello, I must be going" released way back in 1982.

Q).    What do you enjoy most about working at Lauria?
A).    Having a great team to work with, this has to be the best part of working at Lauria.  No matter who you are dealing with in any department everyone is giving 110%.

Q).    If you could have dinner with any 3 people, alive or dead, who would it be?  What would you ask them?
A).    It would have to be comedian Patrick Warburton - I say the funniest man alive!  Then Phil Collins and Elmore James two masters of musical genius!  I would want to know the simple things, what drives them forward, and what inspires them to create.

Q).    What is your favourite movie?  Why?
A).    My favourite movie, as nerdy as it is, has to be "The Transformers Movie" from the early 80's.  The cheesy music, constant light show, and basic animation is the total best of the 80's!!

Q).    Final question, who is your hero?
A).    It would have to be my Great, Great, Great Grandfather who was a Tribal Chief in Northern Canada many moons ago when things in the world were not so simple and life was changing not always for the better.  He had to make many choices that I'm sure felt like the end of his world and tried desperately to keep those around him safe and strong when the world was trying to take so much and give so little.

Well, there you have it.  We all know Allan just a little bit better and we probably don't want to go to the movies with him anytime soon ;).
